Grand Avenue - Phase 3

Finally the exams were over and we got the chance to check out the Phase 3 of Avenue Mall or the Grand Avenue. It is grand indeed!

 It is based on the modern street and I hear that one more based on the traditional Arab street is in the pipeline. Kuwait is surely on it's way to a shopping destination!

If one needs a bit of exercise and make sure to leave the purse behind then this is the right place to be! Your legs wont complain for the long walk staring into windows and checking the exorbitant price for normal goods until you return home. One can walk kilometres and never feel the pain :)

If we had gone a day earlier, we could have met Kim Kardashian who came to launch her store "Millions of Milkshakes". Kuwait was very cordial to her unlike Bahrain!

Vegetable Market

Finally we visited the recently shifted wholesale market for fruits and vegetables. It is huge and well maintained. The only issue would be that one need to buy in bulk. But if you can find someone to share your purchase it is worth. The price is very reasonable and much less than the super markets.

Asian cooperation Dialogue summit

The Asian cooperation Dialogue summit is to take place from 15th until 17 in Kuwait and at Hotel Sheraton. The flags of the participating countries ( ASEAN and the GCC) are up already and here  is my camera trying to capture the Indian flag :)
